Here's some questions people ask us
Yes! What makes an estate plan legal is how the documents are written, signed, and witnessed. Not where you were sitting when you answered the questions. Your documents are built to your state's requirements and signed the same way they would be in a law office.
With us, somebody sits with you, walks through your actual situation, and builds the plan around it. On other sites, you answer questions into a screen and a document comes out the other end. Nobody reads it. Nobody asks about the son who is not good with money, or the rental property in another state, or the fact that your daughter and your brother do not speak. We have you covered from every step from payment to signatures.
No. Every step happens in a meeting where we share a screen and go through it together. If you can get on a video meeting with your grandkids, you can do this.
No. We walk you through your options and how each one works so you can make the decision. If something in your situation needs a legal opinion, it goes to an attorney. Most people never hit that point. If you do, we will tell you plainly instead of letting you find out later.
$2,495, one time. That covers your full set of documents and the meetings it takes to build them.
There is less overhead for us to help you. An attorney bills for hours, and most of those hours go into the part that is the same for everybody. Gathering your information. Drafting standard language. Scheduling. We built a system that handles the repeated part, so the time you are paying for is the part that is actually about you. The documents hold up the same way.
No. You pay once. There is no subscription, annual charges or charges to make any changes.
This is the most important part that we make a priority. Signing the paperwork sets up the container. What makes it work is actually moving your house, your accounts, and your beneficiary designations into it. A trust that was never funded protects nothing. We go through that step with you instead of handing you a binder and wishing you luck.
A will still goes through the court. That process is public, it takes time, and it costs your family money.
If yours is one of them, we will say so early rather than sell you something that does not fit. Second marriages, a child who needs protecting, a small business, property in more than one state. All of that comes up regularly and most of it we handle in the same meeting. Some situations do need an attorney at the table.
A trust generally travels with you. Some pieces, like your healthcare paperwork, are worth refreshing once you land. Tell us when you move and we will look at it with you.
